Rotary die cutting machine for sale

Rotary Die-cutting is a widely used process. It converts material by cutting and shearing it into various shapes and designs. It is used to cut the materials that are dynamic and can be customized. This process is conducted on various kinds of materials and is widely used by many companies and businesses.

There are many types of die-cutting processes. Some of them include flatbed die cutting, laser dies cutting, and rotary die cutting equipment. As the name says, the flatbed dies cutting uses a flatbed dies and press. The laser dies cutting uses a high-speed laser cutting machine. And, the rotary die-cutting equipment uses a cylindrical rotary die and a rotary press. As per the needs and the size of the die-cutting material, a particular die cutting machine is used.

The rotary die cutting equipment operates at a specific capacity. The machine is adjusted on a particular configuration and setting. This type of die cutting machine uses a custom-designed cylindrical die. The same is attached to the rotary press, and then the material is fit in to get converted. A flexible material, in the form of a roll or sheet, is put into the press die cutting machine. Now, the cutting die cylinder and anvil cylinder rotates in opposite directions and cuts the material. This reverse rotary cutting die acts like a machine, and hence, the cutting is done.

By using the rotary machine, you can get the cuts and slits, as per your preferences. It is vital that in the rotary die cutting machines, both the cylinders and the web operate at the same speed. Then only, the die cuts are smooth and remain parallel to each other, leading to a uniform cut. The machines use motors as well for better precision and uniformity.

Rotary die cutting machine uses materials such as metal, foam, fabric, plastic, paper, and laminates. The type of material determines the configuration and settings of the rotary die cutting machine. As per the type of material, the design of the rotary cutting die is decided. According to the thickness of the material and the flexibility, the height of the cutting blade and the optimum angle is adjusted.

To cut thick material, the blade height is kept higher, and the angle is kept steeper. To cut thin materials, the height needs to be low, and so is the angle. In the case of multi-layered material, there may be different heights and angles. The material properties also decide the type of rotary die - flexible rotary die or a solid rotary die. At the same time, the thinner materials use a flexible die, thicker use the solid rotary die.
